Dulles High School Team Takes Top Prize at National and International Physics Bowl

Dulles High School’s Physics Bowl team earned first place in the national and international levels of the competition.

FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – The Dulles High School Physics Bowl team took first at both the national and international level of this year’s Physics Bowl, sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers.

Approximately 10,000 students participate in the competition each year, which consists of a 40-question, 45-minute timed exam. The DHS team, including students Prathik Kalva, Alex Liu, Krish Singal, Andrew Liu and Ethan Zahid, earned first place in this year’s exam. As the grand prize winners, they received several gifts, including gift certificates for their campus, championship bowl T-shirts and more.

Dulles also registered a team of first-year physics students – Naveen Mukkatt, Saipraada, Manikonda, Jay Pratap, Timonthy Feng and David Mao – which earned second place in the state competition.
