Fort Bend ISD to Launch Early College High School and Pathways in Technology Programs for the 2019-20 School Year

FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Following board approval in January, Fort Bend ISD is launching three new programs for the 2019-20 school year. Early College High School and Pathways in Technology Early College High School programs will provide students with opportunities to earn college credit, an associate degree, a two-year postsecondary certificate or industry certification – all while earning their high school diploma.

 ECHS Program Information

The ECHS programs are open to all current FBISD 8th grade students, who can commit to completing a four-year program, beginning their freshman year of high school through their senior year. The three ECHS programs to which students may apply include:

  • Early College High School at Marshall High School that features coursework applicable to any degree program
  • Pathways in Technology Early College High School at Hightower High School – Health Science that features coursework focused on specific health science degree plans
  • Pathways in Technology Early College High School at Willowridge High School – Computer Programming that features coursework focused on specific computer programming degree plans

Application Window

The application window opened Monday, Feb. 11 and closes Friday, March 22. There are no criteria or pre-requisites for eligibility into the programs. More information about the programs and how to apply can be found on the Early College High School and P-TECH webpages.
