FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Fort Bend ISD will host a Drug Take Back event on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the FBISD Administration Building’s parking lot located at 16431 Lexington Boulevard in Sugar Land.
This event is dedicated to collecting expired, unused and unwanted medications for disposal in a safe and environmentally friendly way. The goal is to keep medications out of our water supply and away from youth who could potentially abuse the medication.
The Drug Take Back is a biannual, national event sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) that takes place in October and April. Locally, the FBISD Police Department sponsors the site and partners with FBISD’s Safe and Drug Free Schools and the Fort Bend Community Prevention Coalition.
This event is free and open to anyone who wants to drop off medications, no questions asked.
