FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Fort Bend News) – Fort Bend County Judge Bob Hebert has proclaimed Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19 as Clear the Shelters Days at the Fort Bend County Animal Services Shelter.

The Clear the Shelters adoption event is a partnership with NBC/Telemundo and Fort Bend County Animal Services staff and volunteers who have agreed to devote their time, resources and energy to the united effort to bring attention to the homeless at the shelter.  The turnkey pet adoption event will help pets find forever homes with no adoption fee. All adoptions include a health check, spay or neuter of the animal, and the first series of vaccinations.

“A healthy, happy spayed or neutered pet with basic inoculations can be yours free of charge. That’s a great deal,” said Hebert.
