FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Clements High School is home to the Clements Stackers, a group of students who compete in Sport Stacking, also known as Cup Stacking. The activity is an individual or team sport that involves stacking plastic cups in specific sequences in as little time as possible.

This past summer, CHS students Anna Vo, Lauren Peacoe, Leilani Lai and Wendy Tang competed in the AAU Junior Olympic Games on July 27 and 28 in the Sport Stacking division. Even though the Clements Stackers started about six months ago, they’re already proving that they’re a force to be reckoned with.

The team placed in the following events:

3-3-3: Wendy Tang (4th), Leilani Lai (6th), Lauren Peacoe (7th), Anna Vo (8th)

3-6-3: Leilani Lai (4th), Lauren Peacoe (5th), Wendy Tang (7th), Anna Vo (8th)

Cycle: Lauren Peacoe (5th), Wendy Tang (6th), Leilani Lai (7th), Anna Vo (8th)

The Clements Stackers are in the planning stages of hosting a tournament for any interested middle and high schools in the late spring. More information on that event will be released later this fall.
