ROSENBERG (Covering Fort Bend News) – Thee Galveston men have been arrested after an off-duty Rosenberg police officer noticed suspicious activity on his way home from work.
Around 3 a.m. July 13, the off-duty officer was on his way home when he saw a suspicious person walking down the 1400 block of Millie Street. The officer also saw the dome light on in a nearby vehicle, but did not see anyone in or near the vehicle. The officer requested backup and patrol units were dispatched and canvassed the area.
Two other men were found in a nearby alleyway. Officers determined that all three men were from Galveston and were in Rosenberg to meet friends. However, the friends could not be located. All three were arrested and charged with several counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, engaging in organized crime, unlawful possession of a criminal Instrument, possession of a controlled substance and outstanding warrants. The men were taken to the Fort Bend County Jail. No bond had been set at this time.
