ROSENBERG (Covering Fort Bend News) – A 52-year-old Cub Scout Den Leader has been arrested and charged with indecency with a child. The victim, a juvenile female, is a sibling to one of the Cub Scout members.
On May 5, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible indecency with a child case. During the course of the investigation, information was provided that Clifton Ray Poe, of Rosenberg, is the Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 820 and victimized the juvenile several times. Poe was an acquaintance of the victim’s family.
Poe was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of indecency with a child with a $30,000 bond on each count.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Sam Houston Area Council of Boys Scouts of America has given its full cooperation in the investigation and took immediate action when they learned about Poe.
