Sugar Land’s License Plate Recognition Cameras Lead to Seven Arrests

SUGAR LAND (Covering Fort Bend News) – Over the past weekend, the City of Sugar Land’s license plate recognition cameras helped lead to seven arrests in two different instances.

On Saturday, April 14, suspects stole a vehicle at gunpoint from the 2300 block of Windcroft. Using the LPR cameras, police were able to later apprehend two juveniles and two adults in connection with the crime.

On Sunday, April 15, officers were notified of a stolen vehicle through the LPR and were able to locate it. After a short pursuit, officers were able to arrest the three occupants.
