ROSENBERG (Covering Fort Bend News) – A Wharton man has been arrested after Rosenberg police allegedly saw him breaking into cars in a Lowe’s parking lot.
Around 8:45 a.m. this morning, April 12, Rosenberg Police Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division saw a man breaking into vehicles at the Lowe’s home improvement store located 28005 Southwest Freeway. According to representatives of the Rosenberg Police Department, detectives saw a man, later identified as 55-year-old Manuel Sedillo, entering several vehicles and taking property. Detectives say Sedillo quickly fled the area after allegedly committing the burglaries and was apprehended. The property located in Sedillo’s possession was positively identified as property stolen from a Lowe’s customer’s vehicle. Sedillo was charged with theft with two or more previous convictions, a state jail felony.
Sedillo will be transported to Fort Bend County Jail. No bond has been posted at this time.
