FBISD’s Multilingual Programs to Host Informational Sessions for Families of English Language Learners

FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Fort Bend ISD’s Multilingual Programs is hosting parent informational sessions in several languages in order to educate parents about the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System.

The sessions will cover how the state uses TELPAS to assess and report on the English language development of students participating in bilingual and ESL programs. The sessions will also include an explanation of a student’s TELPAS test report, and a summary of each language proficiency rating so that parents can better understand a student’s progress in learning English.

The two sessions will be held on the following dates, times and locations.
